Publisher Summary Flow cytometry has been a cornerstone of analysis of acquired
immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) pathogenesis and immunity since recognition of the
disease. Flow cytometric analysis has proven to be equally important to investigators using
the SIV/nonhuman primate (NHP) model of AIDS that recapitulates the key features of HIV
infection and disease, and offers the best available animal model for fundamental studies of
